HARRY LEATHER @YYCSenate
About this Taber bylaw thing; I hate the nanny-state, unless its upholding Christian ideals of good behaviour. I think its great!

The #abvote is still disappointing thus far. Where's the passion that inspires career ending public statements? @albertaNDP assaults aside.

This parody account of local politician/religious activist/local guy out of touch with reality Larry Heather uses tongue in cheek sarcasm to poke fun at the extreme end of fundamentalism.CRACKMACS @crackmacs
Tried to get a picture of the #northernlights from downtown, the @CalgaryPolice photo bombed it. #yyc pic.twitter.com/345f4mzZo9

Named for the downtown hot spot that used to be known for shady drug deals, this husband and wife joint account knows everything that's going on in Calgary. And they can be pretty funny to boot.NAHEED NENSHI @Nenshi
Of course I'm going to put the (arguably) World's Greatest Mayor on here.
As Hallowe'en approaches, I'd like to remind you that "sexy mayor" is not an appropriate costume choice. (Results may vary in other cities)

Love him or hate him, he's generally thought of as wildly popular in our fair city. He has a great sense of humor, but like all politicians, he also has his share of haters. Look how he handles his haters:He just brushes it off like it was nothing. Now, normally, that doesn't help a politician, but Nenshi isn't a career politician, he was a professor of social enterprise at MRU, and so far, things like this have actually helped make him more endearing to Calgarians. However, the tweet about single-handedly bringing Taco Bell Doritos Tacos to Calgary, was shopped from a redditor.

No. This guy isn't really Sean Chu, the city Councillor. The profile describes him as a Sean Chu fan, but my guess is that it's more of a parody account, making fun of Councillor Chu for his war on bike lanes. The dead giveaway that it isn't the real Sean Chu? This guy's tweets are actually readable.
